Zombies Mob of the Dead Secrets - Buildables and New Flaming Hounds (Boss)

The first trailer for Mob of the Dead has just come out and we've already got some clues on the buildables and new boss minions. If you study the screenshots closely you'll be able to pick them out. Buildables include the trusty riot shield, seen in Green Run and the new minion looks like a flaming hellhound.

Flaming Hellhounds

Looking something like a floating hellhound, these new minions appear to float in mid-air in a ball of fire. It's possible that the fire is a portal into the prison but it's hard to tell from the trailer. The dog also appears to want to breath fire from its mouth so that's also a possibility.

Notice that the new dogs appear at the same time as regular zombies, so possibly not a boss round.

Riot Shield

The riot shield was originally included in Green Run - Tranzit which of course was the first zombies map that came with Black Ops 2. The shield can be both offensive (charge attack) and defensive (blocking). It looks like the shield is located outside of the prison cell building near the crates.

No sign of a workbench though so maybe you don't actually need to build it.

Easter Egg - Clues

The first clue we noticed were the white eyes at the bottom of the watch tower. If you remember Die Rise, we had symbols on the floor that turned gold/yellow when stepped on by all four players. It's possible that players will need to co-ordinate again to progress the easter egg.

New guns - Uzi and Thompson

The Thompson gun makes a welcomes appearance from the original Black Ops zombies maps. In addition to the Thompson submachine gun we also get to use the Uzi - a high fire rate weapon with less accuracy.

Spikes ceiling trap

One of the traps in Mob of the Dead is the spikes ceiling trap which presumably is activated by the red switch box on the wall. The surface area of the spikes is actually pretty big so you’re going to need to get out of that room pretty fast!

Teddy bear room

Either a weapons box room or part of the Easter Egg, this single frame was included in the trailer. It’s only viewable through video editing software.

Acid Wonder Weapon and Acid Traps

The wonder weapon is one of those mysterious elements to any zombies map. They're usually stupidly powerful, hard to find and something which everyone wants as quickly as possible. Thanks to a promotional video for XBox Live we've spotted the new wonder weapon already. Judging by the image it looks like an acid gun, similar in some ways to the sliquifier. Interestingly, another image shows an acid shower trap so there's definitely an acid theme going on.
