Die Rise Map and 'Turned' Zombies Mode - Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC

black ops 2The official trailer for the new Black Ops 2 Revolution (DLC) has been released and it gives us lots of official information on the new Die Rise zombies map and a new zombies mode called Turned. As we expected the new map is set in the far east in a series of crumbling skyscrapers.
The new zombies map is the first one to take us on a vertical trip. There are open areas of gameplay but also very narrow and dark corridors - its kind of like a maze. Not only will you get lost but there are many vertical areas (lift shafts) where you can easily fall to your death.
There's also a new wonder weapon to play with!
New Zombies Mode - 'Turned'
The new zombie mode is unique to the Revolution DLC. In this new game mode, players can play as the zombie and the aim is to kill the player. If you successfully kill the one lone human player you become the human and you must attempt to survive.

As you can tell from the screenshots, the rumour about Die Rise containing wagons and a nuclear plant was a complete lie. Its a modern setting as you can see by the number of skyscrapers. There are switches on the wall which could power the elevators to provide vertical movement (although the trailer did show the player jumping down to a lower level).
The developers have confirmed that the new map is a kind of MC Escher, which means that we’ll see upside down staircases, rooms and possibly even walking on the ceilings. Since these buildings are crumbling its possible that some have rooms have fallen on their side or are completely upside down.
