Black Ops 2 Zombies - How to build machine gun turret (3rd bus stop)

The 3rd bus stop in Green Run (Black Ops 2 Zombies) is the Farm and this is where you can build the machine gun turret. The turret is an automatic defence system similar to the turrets you saw in MW3 spec ops. As with other craftable items you'll need 3 components (items) to build the turret.

How to build the machine gun turret

When you arrive at the 3rd bus top, jump off the bus and head towards the farm. You'll notice there are 3 buildings, one of which requires power to open (the smaller one). If you have the turbine you can open this barn and buy claymore but that's up to you.

Enter the first building on your left and scout around the floor to find the lawnmower (sometimes it's located outside the building around the edge but the location of this item varies). Once you've found the lawnmower run to the blueprint room which is the barn on the right as you entered the farm. Build the first part of the machine gun by standing next to the blueprint and holding the blue X button (Xbox controller).

The other two items you need are the machine gun and the ammo. The machine gun is usually located on the first floor of the barn on the left of the farm (see video). The ammo is usually located on the bookshelf of the first floor of the right hand side barn.

As you collect each of the items run back to the blueprint room and build the machine gun turret. Once it's finished, you can select the turret to store it in your inventory.

Bad news is that the turret and turbine seem to occupy the same slot.

How to use the machine gun turret

The machine gun turret needs power and that means you need the turbine from the 1st bus stop (if you missed that, check out our other tutorial for the turbine). Just place the turret on the floor and the turbine within close proximity (usually behind the turret).

The turbine will power the turret and it should automatically target zombies and shoot them down for you. It's not very smart though and you'll need to point the turret in the general direction of the zombies to stop them destroying it from behind.
