Will Yogscast be coming to Minecon 2012?

Posted in minecraft

After last year's Minecon in Las Vegas, the Yogscast took a battering from Minecraft fans worldwide. Their foul language and disgraceful behaviour lost them many younger fans and upset Notch and Lydia. This year, Minecon 2012 will be in Paris and Yogscast have their chance to patch up the past. But will they be coming?

After the falling out last year, Notch has forgiven the Yogscast for their inappropriate behaviour and he didn't ban them from future Minecons. In fact he went as far as saying that it was a stress related misunderstanding. It was probably a case of one can't live without the other and vice versa. Yogscast increased the popularity of Minecraft and Minecraft increased the popularity of the Yogscast. Both owe each other.

Minecon's set for Disney Land in Paris this time around. It's not Las Vegas by any stretch of the imagination and France can get pretty nippy in November. However, that won't stop any hardened Minecraft fans turning up. It's also just on the door step for the Yogscast who live in the UK.

Can we expect Lewis and Simon, two of the most popular YouTube entertainers to come to Minecon 2012? Well, nothings been said yet, neither from the official Yogscast website, nor their dedicated YouTube channel. Realistically, the Yogscast won't miss an opportunity to attend the event convention of their biggest fan base, A chance to promote their channel, increase followers, make new friends and patch up the past? Sounds like the perfect business opportunity that would be stupid to neglect.

Just like marmite, whether you love or hate the Yogscast, they do have a very successful YouTube channel. Forget all the syndications they've got running like Yogscast 2 etc. They're pointless, but the core BlueXephos channel is one of the best. Take their foul language as a given (providing your older enough to appreciate it's just padding) and you'll love their witty and funny commentary. Just expect Mojang to tone down the language for Minecon 2012 with some stricter guidelines for panels.

We certainly hope Yogscast will be coming to Minecon 2012 and that it's a better outcome than last year..
