Whats the best Shader Mod for Minecraft?

minecraft
The basic Minecraft graphics are as you expect, rather blocky. But thanks to some truly amazing mod developers, Shader mods can transform your Minecraft world into a cinematic feast. There are so many mods to choose from so I wanted to share my favourite Shader mod with you.
Over the years, the Minecraft modding community, whilst still great, has become a bloated minefield. There are literally thousands of mods that you can download for Minecraft but unfortunately many of them are supported for a few versions and then the developer disappears.
Shader mods are probably my favourite type of mod because it completely changes the appearance of Minecraft and depending on your computer it can be almost life like. When a shader is activated the water becomes reflective and semi-transparent, clouds in the sky become smooth and puffy and torches glow brilliantly during the night. These are just some of the improvements that shaders can deliver.
What does a shader mod do?
Shaders are graphics enhancement mods that transform your environment into a realistic and beautiful place. They don't use 3rd party texture packs but instead apply natural lighting effects to smooth, blend and enhance the visual display.
These are just some of the improvements:- Smooth clouds, glowing sun and soft moonlight
- Semi-transparent water with reflective surface that mirrors objects on the horizon
- Beautiful glowing fires, torches and glowstone
- Natural trees and plants, with soft layers and harmonising colours
- Super realistic with outstanding detail
So enough of the talking, let's get down to the best Shader mod..
Sonice Ethers Unbelievable Shaders Mod (SEUS)
Developed back in 2012 but still supported today (version 1.7.5+), the SEUS mod is my favourite Shader mod for Minecraft. In fact, most other shaders are derived from his work anyway. Closely followed by Optifine, SEUS is the best shader mod to try.
These images below show just how good SEUS is:
Requirements
The SEUS mod requires GLSL Shaders Mod to alter the Minecraft rendering system, which allows for custom shaders to be used in Minecraft. You can download the GLSL mod
here:
Download
SEUS comes in various forms:- SEUS Lite
- SEUS Standard
- SEUS Ultra
- SEUS Ultra DOF
- SEUS Ultra Motion Blur
Each of the versions provides a slightly different Shader effect. Ultra will demand a lot from your computer so if you have problems then stick with Standard.
Get the latest version from the Forum:http://www.minecraftforum.net/How to install
