Trip Wire Coming to Minecraft in 12w22a - Get your Booby Traps Ready!

Just like in the Goonies movie, Minecraft is getting booby traps in the next snapshot (12w22a). Thanks to more hard work from the ex-bukkit team, the trip wire can be hooked up to TNT to create your very own explosive traps.

Trip wire is created from hooks (connectors) and string which is now placeable. Place two hooks and connect them via string, only one piece is required. If you connect your trip wire to redstone, which in turn is connected to TNT, then you'll have your very own booby trp. As soon as a mob (or other player) steps onto the wire the TNT is primed and BOOOM!!! Bye bye..

Not only does the new trip wire make SMP ten times more fun, especially against griefers and thieves, but it will also make adventure maps more exciting. Imagine those same adventures with explosive traps lurking in the caves? There's your next idea map creators..

Trip Wire features so far:

Two hooks (connectors) and string connecting the trip wire
Maximum of 19 blocks between hooks
Redstone powered for TNT explosives
Trip wire does not require redstone to function alone
Cut the string with shears to disconnect the trip wire
