Musical genius Jeremy Soule should compose new Minecraft music

Jeremy Soule is probably not the first name that comes to mind when you think of music. But for all Elder Scrolls fans - the guy is a genius! His Skyrim soundtrack contains some of his best works - inspirational and deeply moving tracks.

Jeremy's Skyrim soundtrack has got all the required elements; upbeat melodies for fighting scenes; string instruments for those epic landscapes and light brass for discoveries and exploration.

Soule is now famous for composing music to 3 of the previous Elder Scrolls games along with music for Dungeon Siege, Total Annihilation and Harry Potter. Soule states that he doesn't have a favourite genre of game to compose for, preferring instead to compose for ambitions games by people with new ideas.

If there's one game that's made a big impact on the gaming industry, it's Minecraft. Just look how many imitations of Minecraft there are now. Not only is Minecraft popular amongst gamers, it's a big hit with teachers too. It's educational fun.

We'd love to see Jeremy create music for Minecraft but deep down we know that it'll probably never happen…so it's back to playing Skyrim again then..
