Minecraft Reality App doesn't work on iPod 4G or iPhone 4

minecraftMinecraft Reality is one the latest Minecraft apps to hit the iTunes store. It's an excellent app that lets you combine minecraft worlds with the real world. The bad news is that it's falsely advertised as being supported on iPod Touch 4G and to a lesser extent the iPhone 4.
Although the app will run on iPhone 4 it comes with limited functionality because of the dependency on an earlier version of iOS. iPod Touch 4G owners will find that the app won't even run on their device even though its listed under the requirements section.

RequirementsNotesWhy does it say its supported on iPod Touch 4g?
It's probably because the developers submitted the app to Apple with the wrong set of requirements. Waiting for Apple to approve apps is a painful process that takes days (sometimes weeks) to complete even if you want to make a small amendment.
Mojang are also strong supporters of the Minecraft Reality app and have recently added a post to their official website. 13th Lab (the creators of the app) probably have little choice but to keep the app with the wrong set of requirements for the time being.
So before you rush off and download Minecraft Reality just check that you're not using iPod Touch 4G or the older iPhone 4 otherwise you're going to be disappointed.
