What's the most sought after item in Minecraft? Yep, it's got to be diamonds!!! We've all wasted hours looking for precious diamonds but thanks to this collection of Minecraft seeds, you'll get quick access to diamonds with very little effort. Just use the seed and follow the instructions.
Most of you will probably know that seeds are used when you want to create a new world. Just choose, Single Player -> Create new World. Then click the More world options button and type the seed into the Seed for the World Generator box. The seed is a special code that tells the map generator how to generate the world and it ensures that the map isn't strictly random. Anyone can use the seed, share with other players and still get exactly the same world no matter which computer they use.
Why are diamonds useful?
Diamonds are one of the rarest resources in Minecraft. They're found deep underground in small veins. Most players will use the traditional mining process to find diamonds but that can take a long time. Diamonds can also be found in chest in villages (especially in blacksmith houses) and in abandoned mines.
Diamond is one of the strongest substances in Minecraft and it's excellent for creating armour and tools. If you create a new tool, armour or weapon using diamond then it will have excellent durability and will last a long time. For example, a diamond pickaxe has a durability of 1562, which equates to the number of times the pickaxe can be used. This is very large in comparison to the wooden pickaxe which can only be used 60 times.
Diamonds are also the key ingredients in advanced items such as enchantment tables.
Ok, here are those seeds..Example 1 - Just dig
Seed: MINE DAT CRAPThis seed generates a new world with diamonds located right under your feet. You'll also be close to a village.
As soon as you spawn, just dig directly down (don't move at all). If you dig down roughly 50 blocks, you should see 4 diamonds blocks packed together. Remember to give yourself room to get out, or just change to creative mode and fly your way out.
This seed was tested on Minecraft 1.2.5.
Example 2 - Village Chest
Seed: -671258039From your starting point, head in the direction of the desert and locate the first village. It's not too far but fly if you want to get there faster.
Walk into the blacksmith (far corner house) and find the chest in the corner of the room. Open the chest and you should see 4 diamonds waiting for you! 4 diamonds is enough to get you a diamond pickaxe straight away.
This seed was tested on Minecraft 1.2.5.
Example 3 - Ravines
Seed: -2920592920726132152This seed will spawn you right next to a double ravine. Co-ordinates of the first ravine are:
X: 108 Z: 122
Go into the ravine and follow the tunnel until the second ravine. You'll see 10 exposed diamond ore in the walls of the ravine. No digging required!
There's also a chest in an abandoned mineshaft located at:
X: -529 Y: 34 Z: -781
This seed was tested on Minecraft 1.2.5.
Which version of Minecraft do I need?
To use these seeds you will need to use a similar version to the ones tested above. We recommend any of the version 1.2 releases such as:
- Minecraft 1.2.1
- Minecraft 1.2.2
- Minecraft 1.2.3
- Minecraft 1.2.4
- Minecraft 1.2.5
As long as Jeb doesn't change the world generation code too much then the seeds should continue to work ok in Minecraft 1.3 and above. Unfortunately, using these seeds in older versions of Minecraft will not produce the same results. For example if you use the seeds above in Minecraft beta 1.7.3 or beta 1.8 then the worlds would not look the same. This is because villagers didn't exist back then and the code used to generate worlds has changed considerably. They can't be used on Mineraft for the Xbox 360 because that's currently the equivalent to Beta 1.7.3.
