Minecraft 1.8 Final Version Released

Minecraft 1.8 - The Adventure Update has finally been released. Jeb has ironed out all the remaining bugs and we've got an official download of the next big Beta update. Focusing on adventure and rewarding players for exploration, version 1.8 is a revolutionary update that takes us one step closer to the final release.

Packed full of new features, 1.8 provides a new twist to the Minecraft game. Before, you probably would have gone about your daily Minecraft life with no particular goals or ambitions, now you're going to need to keep your food levels stocked up and aim to grab some of those experience points.

Meet some of the new mobs that come with 1.8 including the lanky, scary looking Endermen, the slippery Silverfish and the new blue cave spider. Craft even more items such as iron bars, glass panes and get your hands on some raw beef if you feel like it.

Biomes are now bigger and better than before. More natural and more exciting. Venture into the mushroom world or a ravine of your choosing. Explore the swamps, oceans, lakes and flowing rivers. Keep an eye out of the new NPC villages that make their first appearance. These places will eventually become trading areas and maybe even your allies.
