Minecraft 1.4.3 ready to download
Posted in
minecraftMinecraft snapshots have gone on hold for the time being as Mojang concentrate on fixing bugs in Minecraft 1.4. The latest update, 1.4.3, is packed with bug fixes from the Atlassian system used for tracking issues. There hasn't been anything too major reported but still the annoying glitch or two that soon add up.
Thanks to Jeb, Nathan and Erik, over 100 fixes have made it into 1.4.3. They include things such as skeletons shooting arrows when they're holding swords, wither despawning in peaceful mode and music discs reverting back to their original name when played.
Being a pre-release, this update is aimed at mod developers to give them time to update their code ready for the official release (due 8th November). In any case, 1.4.3 pre-release is exactly the same as the final version so there's no need to hold back if you want to try 1.4.3 now.
1.4.3 Feature List
We won't go into every bug fix but here are the notable features:
- New Minecraft song called "wait" is now playable
- Random falling damage caused by lag is now fixed
- Slimes have the correct collision box
- Signs maintain their text on client side
- Falling damage when riding minecarts has been fixed
