Minecraft 13w31a New Features - Sprint key and Keyboard changes

It's been a few weeks since the last update for Minecraft but along comes the start of August and we've got Minecraft 13w31a (part of Minecraft 1.7). Not packed with MC goodness but still enough to keep you satisfied - this update includes a revised Controls menu and launcher login features.

This snapshot is part of Minecraft 1.7 which currently has no name.

Keyboard changes / New Controls Menu

The Controls menu which is found under Options has been redesigned to accommodate more keyboard keys. Players can now customize keys for screenshots, cinematic camera, sprint key and almost every other action key.

There is also a new reset button which changes the customized key back to the default.

New sprint key

Along with the redesigned Controls menu comes a new key for sprint. So say goodbye to your double tapping tactics because now you've got an actual key for it. By default the sprint key is set to LCONTROL which is the left hand Ctrl key on your keyboard.

Of course you're free to customize the key you want to use for sprint, but the default LCONTROL key works nicely with your little finger. It also frees up your right hand for the mouse.
