Minecon Registration and Tickets - See Minecraft launched in Las Vegas

On the 18th and 19th November 2011 you can celebrate the official launch of Minecraft. It'll be the moment when the long running Beta version becomes a stable, final release. Minecon takes place in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay - a luxurious place, close to casinos and beaches.

When and where can I get tickets for Minecon

Tickets for Minecon go on sale wc 8th August 2011. You can buy tickets from the official Minecon site which will also be launching that week. Notch will confirm registration details in due course and when he does, we'll of course update our site with a direct link to buy tickets. Remember though, Minecraft is a massively popular game with millions of users. These conventions only hold tens of thousands of people so expect tickets to sell out very quickly!!

Conference and events centers

Mandalay Bay Convention Center is massive with almost 1 million square foot of space and 75 separate breakout sessions. Whilst the smaller Events Center commonly hosts boxing matches and concerts holds up to 12,000 people. Rocky Balboa (last film) was actually shot in the Events Center.

Staying in Mandalay Bay

Mandalay Bay is an awesome place to stay. It's 44-story building provides great views of the Sunset Strip and Mandalay Beach. Rooms start at around the $90 mark for a simple one, but for a more luxurious room with views you're looking at around $300. Owned by the MGM Resorts International group it's a money making machine thanks to its casino and extravagant décor.
