Download Minecraft 13w17a - New Features - Hardened Clay, Sociable Zombies

The latest snapshot (13w17a) for Minecraft is now available through the new launcher. It's only a small snapshot this time after the large launcher release last week. 13w17a features include new Hardened Clay, extra tooltips and sociable zombies.

To install the new snapshot simply open the new launcher and at the top you should be able to select 13w17a from the drop down list. Enter your Minecraft account details, click play and the launcher will download the necessary files for you automatically.

13w17a - All new features

• New Hardened Clay block
• Extra tooltip info (help) in the search tab for the creative inventory
• Made deserts more like traditional deserts
• Zombies are more sociable (willing to be friendly)
• The usual round of bug fixes

Note: You won't be able to download the snapshot as a rar file as Mojang haven't made it available.

Zombies - New Sociable Behavior

• Zombies will follow you even if you are further away
• Attacking a zombie will cause other nearby zombies to attack you as well
• Zombies may spawn in when another zombies is attacked
• Zombies wearing a helmet will prevent them from burning in sunlight
