Minecraft 12w37a has now been officially released and as we predicted it comes with the new Super Flat customisation, new food source called Pumpkin Pie and also braver mobs. You can download the snapshot using the links here.

As part of the continual push towards Minecraft 1.4 and the Halloween update, Jeb and Nathan have been adding more great features. Super Flat customisation is an interesting one which is going to provide a new way to share creations and tailor your world to suit you. Braver mobs is also going to turn the tables in favour of mobs, making it that little bit harder to escape from those determined critters!

Super Flat Customisations - the ability to customise each layer of your world including material type and depth.
Pumpkin Pie - the new food source
Braver mobs - mobs will jump off ledges and small cliffs if it means they'll survive and can chase after you (harder difficulty only)
Pigs can jump - when you're riding your pig you can make it jump over blocks
New clear command - used to empty inventory
Tweaks to the Wither mob
Lots of bug fixes
