MAtmos, also known as the Environmental sound atmosphere simulator, is a sound mod for Minecraft that works with the latest version (1.1). Using complex formulas, the mod determines your relative position and nearby environmental conditions, and then provides atmospheric sounds to compliment your game.

It's suprising how much the mod improves your Minecraft experience. You actually feel like you're walking through a rain storm or that you're dangling off a cliff edge. The combination of natural sounds and clever coding give you that feeling of escape just at the right time.

Depending on your location you might hear any of these atmospheric sounds:

Wind swirls
Thunder
Rain drops
Water hitting windows
Birds chirping
Seagulls
Trees blowing in wind
Crickets
Frogs

How to install

You will need ModLoader to use this mod, make sure you download it first.

Then follow these instructions:

1. Download the latest version of the MAtmos mod (MAtmos)
2. Download the latest version of ModLoader (ModLoader)
3. Ensure you have a clean Minecraft.jar
4. Type %appdata% into the start menu
5. Open .minecraft\bin
6. Open Minecraft.jar using WinRAR and delete the META INF file
7. Drag and drop the MAtmos mod files
8. Now do the same with the mod loader files
9. That's it, enjoy the mod!
