UFO Amiga Game Makes a Return with X-COM: Enemy Unknown
Posted in
gamesBack in 1993, UFO: Enemy Unknown appeared on the Amiga (and PC). It was a strategic turn based game where aliens invaded earth and took on the humans. It's considered to be one of the best video games ever made.
It's been a while since the 90's and MicroProse (the original developers of UFO) have slipped away quietly. Since the successful original, there have been 4 other games in the X-COM series including:
- X-COM: Terror from the Deep (1995)
- X-COM: Apocalypse (1997)
- X-COM: Interceptor (1998)
- X-COM: Enforcer (2001)
The New Game - X-COM: Enemy Unknown
Come 2012 and it's up to 2K Games to bring us this new X-COM: Enemy Unknown game. They say that they will still remain true to the turn based strategy genre. We can expect some vast improvements to graphics and A.I along with more of those destructible environments.
